Abstract. This paper develops a novel computational framework for frictional interaction between thermo-piezoelectric materials and deformable thermally and electrically conductive substrates. The formulation integrates a generalized Coulomb friction law with regularized electrical conduction and thermal transfer conditions at the interface. Damage evolution, governed by a nonlinear parabolic differential inclusion, is intrinsically coupled to the contact dynamics. We establish the corresponding variational formulation, proving existence and uniqueness of weak solutions. Spatial discretization employs Galerkin methods, while temporal approximation utilizes Euler schemes, collectively yielding optimal-order error estimates for the numerical solutions.
